Hi all,

Im trying figure out what connections my neice would need to connect her Toshiba Equium A200-15i laptop to an external LCD monitor to enable her to watch DVD's & view files from her hard drive,

I was looking at this 22" LG monitor from Savastore, would she be able to connect her laptop this?

She is looking for a LCD tv with freeview for her bedroom and the ability to connect her laptop to it would be a bonus,

Any advice would be great & rep added,

The laptop has a 15-pin D-sub VGA out and the LCD TV has a 15-pin d-sub VGA in which should handle the video ok. There is also an Audio line in on the TV which you may be able to feed from the audio out on the laptop (if you turn the volume down on the laptop a little).
Cheers for that, so i can be done? do you think that its worth it, she is looking really for a good 22" LCD tv for her bedroom and i thought it may be a bonus to be able to connect her laptop, its not essential, if not any idea of a good 22" LCDtv for about £200? rep added!!
Sorry about the delay in replying! Ermmm I get really blinded by the sheer choice of LCD TVs so I couldnt really recommend any particular brand/model. I actually bought a similar 22" Polaroid from Amazon for my daughter and its fine - not brilliant - fine - but then it only cost £165 and it was white for her bedroom.

The picture is ok and blacks watchable, she sometimes plugs her laptop in but rarely and the sound is ok for a room that size. I think you go with what you feel happpy with. If you can see one working so much the better and if you google the model and check a few reviews which dont indicate a complete dog then choose that one. :-)

Hope it helps a little and good luck.
Thanks for the info, much appreciated,
