Not heard of them until I found this place. Is it an alternative to Paypal ie. you pay via them and somehow get a discount? Do many people accept them?

Quidco is the web's cashback cooperative. Quidco collects referral commissions from online merchants and passes them all on to our members. The Quidco cooperative is a cashback revolution where members keep their full earnings in exchange for giving Quidco £5 out of their earnings once a year.

The Quidco model works for both the merchant and you. It enables the merchant to reach a large base of motivated savvy buyers and it enables you to get back big savings by buying from merchants who participate in the model.

So do you buy them and they pay 'x' or do you pay direct and mention quidco and then get a percentage back? List of participants looks impressive.

Before every online purchase, you click through the quidco site, it tracks your purchase and the cashback builds up in your account.

Just to follow on from steve and to simplify quidco:
If you want to buy something from an internet based company, instead of going directly to the merchants website, log on to quidco and then choose the company from quidco's list of participating merchants and then buy your purchase. You will be rewarded with various commissions, which is collected by quidco and redistributed to you when it is avaliable to pay out to you.It really is money for nothing.

If you want to buy something from say Play.com, you log into your Quidco account and click on that merchant. You will get a percentage of the money you paid to that merchant depending on the rate they have with Quidco. The money can take anything from 7 days to 3 months to get added to your account.

Click on the link I provided and have a look around.
