what does it sound like the water pump gone?
ran vauxhall up but they say with weather it may of frozen up then when ive gone to use it, its burnt out which they say they not repair free, but if they find its because of the weather its not,
how can they tell? would i be looking alot for one if i have to get one and are they simple to fit or do i need a garage?

You'll find the pump normally at the bottom of the washer bottle, it should just pull out........the filter may just be clogged up with grime

Also does the pump make a noise when you press the button, if so the pump is fine

no the wipers just move no noise

Get a second hand pump from a breakers yard,.i imagine theres bleeding thousands of late vauxhalls lying around in them.should be alot cheaper than a new one.If you used pump while it was frozen youve hopefully just blown fuse
#6
the chances are you have blew the fuse get the handbook out and chech which is the pump fuse rather than trusing your eyes to check try swoping the fuse for another one with the same voltage good luck

You did have concentrated screenwash in your washer bottle during the recent cold snap?:)

Firstly I would just like to say Astra's are awesome! Welcome to the Astra club! Lol, and secondly I don't think Vauxhall can really tell if its been caused by the weather, you have a three year warrenty so you might aswell take it to Vauxhall...

They can if they test the screenwash additive for strength.

Vauxhall will try any way to get out of warranty claims.

Mine too , I've lost the spray on the drivers side of my Zaffy . It's just since the cold snap too. Works perfectly on the passenger side . Haven't checked it yet , could be a split pipe or blocked nozzle .

If its the rear washer, then its common so i've heard.
My dad has an Astra and his went, i have a Corsa (the shame lol) and mine went.

Something to do with the fuses and the cold weather, i dunno i got a 57 plate so i just took it back and they sorted it under Warranty. Dad done the same.

Its under Warranty so take it in and get them to find out.
They'l at least find out what it is, and if its something not in the Warranty you know what it is to fix when you go and do it yourself.
