this one?

the price is ok, but that would be about it. These E systems are like a PC World own-brand, and from past experience can be pretty shoddy.
If your looking for something around that price range I would consider a netbook. I think Sainsburys are doing one this week. If you want a laptop, I would look at the acer timeline range, these seem to have amazing battery life. Or maybe consider a second-hand laptop from a well-known brand. My dad bought something similar to this
http://www.bigpockets.co.uk/product.php?nav=227&product=SOLV165&title=IBM+Thinkpad+T40+Laptop+Mobile+1.5Ghz+-+512Mb+RAM+-+40Gb+-+DVD-ROM+-+Wi-Fi+-+Win+XP+Pro

the build quality of the IBM (now lenovo) laptops is pretty good.

Missed it now all gone.

Obviously the timeline would be more, as i said, if you want to stick at that price range go for a netbook.

The 2nd hand ibm thinkpad, is speaking from experience, my dad has had his two years, and has worked great.

Lets not forget that the laptop in the original post is 2nd hand, although it comes with a warranty, that warranty is with PC World - well known for their great customer service.

The original poster asked for opinions on the laptop listed, i gave mine, and i gave some other ideas for them to consider.

Working with, and having purchased laptops a lot, I have enough experience not to touch a PC World own brand laptop with a barge pole. I'm sure others will disagree. That is however my opinion.

To the OP, please buy something (anything) else.

emachines - is part of gateway, and yes owned by ACER
ei systems - is, as far as i can tell, a low-cost manufacturer of laptops based in Belgium exclusively available through DSGi
