I don't understand what's the problem if someone is selling their DSi bought from GAME using the new deal.

Is this not a valid deal ? Is this not legal ? By reading the rules as long as you don't sell more than two I think you are ok to sell it here isn't?

I know that this web-site is not for trader but if you managed to get a DSi because you sold your old DS games (or found cheap games) are you now call a trader?

can someone please tell me what's the problem? Can a mod confirm whether this is braeking any rule or not?

I have not got any DSi at all but that deal was so tempting that even I did think about buying some old games and trying to get credit and if not at least get a DSi and try to sell it here.

What would be the problem if suddenly there are 10s or 100s of Nintendo DSi for sell in here? is that a problem ?

I can only understand if suddenly all of those DSi are being sold in here by new members but if if sold by a normal member and only one DSi what's the problem ?

It's in the rules for all to read.
The part about not profiteering from other deals on here or elsewhere.
Check them out.

Thank's for that! Never looked at it (as I never try to sell anything in here), but that bit about profiteering from deals doesn't make sense to me.

I buy something in promotion (not from here) and I don't like it, then I want to sell it for a reasonable price which is higher the purchase price ... am I not allowed to?

Let's read this particular rule:

(10) You must NOT list items for sale at higher than the recommended retail price. The marker of RRP will be determined by cross indexing with Amazon or other well known retailer. Profiteering is NOT permitted from items previously found at a lower price in the 'Deals' or ANY forum here.

So basically if you buy the DS games from a deal from here (i.e. DS games for £5 x 12 = £60) and then you used those 12 DS games to get this DSi and then sell the DSi for less than the RRP or GAME price (£149.99) but more than £60 you are making a profit and are not allow to do so..

So unless you sell the DSi for less than £60 or get the DS games from a different source (non HUKD related) you can not sell the DSi here ? Am I correct?

I can see this so hard to prove how can you prove that someone bought the games using deals found here. It's a bit of a grey area.

If I could get a DSi for let's say £100 from someone that went through all the trouble of buying and selling games, getting credit and getting the DSi, I would not be complaining? would you ? (by the way I am not interested in one just trying to make my point here)

I just don't have the time for that anymore but when I was a student I could have done it very happy and make some money on the way. I still remember the GAME deal in which you could trade 4 XBOX or PS2 games and they would give you a chart title for free or £44.99 in vouchers about 4 or 5 years ago. Uhhmmm good old days. I remember I used to go around shops to get cheap games and then take them to GAME.

Thesaint thanks for the info. I think I am not the only one thinking that this particular rule is open to interpratations.

I guess the good news for whoever is interested in one is that probably a lot of DSi would be availble quite cheap at some point in the future.

I think that the majority of DSi's that become available on HUKD for the foreseeable future were purchased from the "Game" workaround, and the onus should be on the seller to prove that it wasn't.

You should add your own comments to the thread in "Feedback", that I linked to earlier, as that is read by the staff.

Thanks again TheSaint I thought I had to warn people in that thread I made a comment over there.

I can see so many members (i.e. students in particular) trying to make some money out of this and I would hate to see them been banned or suspended from here. I do care a lot about this site and it's people. I thought a warning is the least that I can do.

Did get that "feedback" thing that you said, what do you mean by that? How do I do it?

The thread I gave a link to about the exact same subject is in "Feedback". The forum where members staff discuss the site rules etc.
It is a serious forum, unlike "Misc". All threads there are read, but not necessarily commented in by the staff of HUKD.

Although we have opposing views on the subject, you should be heard. :)

12 new ds games would have cost more than a dsi so cant jump the the conclusion that he is making a profit

Would I be able to link to this thread in that one?

why would anyone use new fullrrp games?
you can buy 12 games for under 60 quid.
unless you can show a proper receipt showing a debit/credit(not store)/cash payment or 12 receipts for traded in games then its safe to assume that its going to be profiteering.
