I started in January lol. I'm nearly in for my LO, need ideas for my older one. Better then rushing out closer to Christmas and pulling out a huge amount of money in one go.

I started a few months ago. I have 42 people to buy for and so far I have bought for 20 of them :) have to buy them throughout the year as I hate trying to shop for everyone just before christmas :)

I have started too - I always start early and that way I can enjoy the build up to Christmas instead of running like crazy round the shops and having to spend a fortune all at once. I have half of my sons in and also all kids presents bought (neighbours, friends, young nieces/nephews).

I love Christmas time and last Christmas Eve we got married so had that to organise too - so this year its going to be more relaxing - and less expensive I hope!

I start my xmas shopping in the boxing day sales, LOL!

Already got most of my kids pressies in as our local ELC store closed earlier in the year and everything was half price

I just buy throughout the year as i see a deal, usually have everyones birthdays and half of christmas sorted in january sale, and the rest we get through the year. Buying when there are deals rather than buying when we have to, means the person gets a better present (we still spend the same amount we would anyway, just get more for our money)

e.g. my cousins baby got an £80 mamas and papas rocking ladybird thing for her first birthday, but we bought it 8months early and only spent £18 on it, and were able to get a little something extra to go with it. No way could we have spent £80 on her, so she got a much better present than if we had waited until just before her birthday to get her something

I have started on the youngest, she is hello kitty mad and i find it hard to find stuff, so far she has got a hello kitty tent, puzzles, clock, towel and clothes, but havent a clue with the other two, aged 12 and 14, thinking about a contract phone for the eldest as she is sensible lol, but that will probably be it

I know 42 is nuts! and that's after cutting off kids when they reach 18 etc!
It's because we are both eldest child and grandchild and both have big families with lots of young kids, plus my mom and dad split a couple of years back and both have new partners with extra extended families/kids etc.
We only buy for the people that buy for us, but even so it's a lot of pressies, good job I pick most of them up on here otherwise I'd never afford to do it lol

I started a few weeks ago too :) I wrap it early and put everything away and by the time christmas comes i've forgotten what I bought. Lol more exciting that way when my son opens his presents.

Definitely start as early as you can, will be surprised how long it takes as you keep remembering people to make them for (Well if you've sent one to XXX you have to send one to XXX....)

I usually get a load done, then dont get another chance for a few weeks and before I know it its christmas! Always get them done in the end, but its best to get them out of the way as soon as you can

I bought lots in the sales and buy through the year - but I need to buy most presents again as I have used lots of things for birthdays and for raffles etc! Need to go in the loft to get the paper out so I can start wrapping as I get bored when I have a lot to do at once!

Used up £30/6000 (multiple family members have my keyfob Nectar Cards) of Nectar points at Argos last year on next (this) years Christmas pressies for various family members.

My gf apart, Christmas should be quite cheap for me this year :)
