Hi all,

recently bought the deal from SVP for the Acer Desktop with the folllowing spec:

Desktop PC Specifications:-

Processor Intel Pentium Dual Core E2140 1.60GHz
RAM installed 1GB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM
(up to 4GB supported)
Hard drive capacity 160GB
Optical drive DVD+/-RW for DVD and CD Writing
Graphics Integrated
Windows version Vista Home Premium
Networking Integrated 10/100/1000Mbps Network Adapter
Audio Integrated 7.1ch surround sound card
Dimensions 455 x 370 x 183mm

I want to add a 256MB graphics card but am unsure whther the PSU (250W) will support it. I have been told that the graphics card uses 30W of power, can anybody help?

Also looking to add an additional 2 GB RAM.

Im guessing it depends what 256MB graphics card you use, if its a lo budget card it might be ok but if its a high end card it would prob be best if you up card your PSU.

your 250w seems lower than the average power for a psu, i would doubt the card you have in mind will work on your psu if the graphics card needs a additional power supply. Most graphics cards from a few years back needed a minimum of 350w to use
