Can You earn any money???

Hiya, I need to earn some money as Hubbys wages have dropped so much since this recession, I'm stuck without a Car now but I have a Puter obviously and I wondered if anybody knows something I can do to bring some money in, all I've found is Surveys and I get half way through them and they say I'm not suited to this one aaarrrggghhh it's annoying wasting time, the situation is getting rather worrying now so I thought I'd ask as you lot are alot more experienced than me and I really could do with some help here. A big thanks to anyone who spares their time to reply.

Avon lady?
Part time job?
Sell some stuff lying about the house?
Go through your bills and change providers, cut down mobile bills etc?
No easy ways of making money these days or else everybody would be doing it.

Great advice, if you haven't already done it you'll be surprised how much you could save.

Start with phone and broadband

Re: surveys, try lightspeed, they usually tell you if your are eligible straight away.
Also use topcashback for all your online purchases and join maximiles, it all adds up, slowly, but it does add up.

Maybe try avon, ann summers, betterware and etc. It does consume a bit of time if u want to make a living out of this u'll need to build up your clientèle

Maybe be a dog walker or something? Offer some kind of non sexual services as the others have suggested lol

I mean not being funny, do u have any reasons u cannot get a job? Home commitments or something?

hmm i know places are recruiting for the upocoming 2011 census taking place around feb-march, give it a search online and youll be able to go around and census people.... its a fair bit above minimum wage and stuff aswell, im sure if your just on the lower level of stuff you wont need your own transpot

can always sell your stuff...

Reviews on dooyoo, you will have to work hard for the money and try to review a maximum of 3 a day. Make sure you do a proper review, ie a lot more than the stated word count, you want to make people interested in your reviews. the better your reviews the more reads and rate you get and you may get a crown which all brings in money. I used to do this but don't have the time for it now. You get money for each review and then for each read and rate etc. You need the time to rate others too.

How about some bootsales, they help bring in some cash.
Dog walking /sitting
As others have said Avon or betterware - neither have an initial cash outlay.
Basic gardening help, weeding etc, you could print out some leaflets offering your services.
Advertise your self in shop windows to do cleaning.
See if you can register on the bank at local carehomes, not regular cash but they could need you to do some work just when you need it.

Most other things have large outlay to start with.

Hi Guys, thanks for all the replies serious and wacky lol some I have already done like Gas Electric etc some have been tried round here like Avon Kleeneze Betterware etc without success, the Village has a really bad Bus service,( I've had to get a Taxi to the Dentist lately, oh how I miss my Car) I'll investigate other things mentioned and I'll give you all heat for your help where I can but if you haven't got a little hammer thingy all I can do is say a big thanks!!

This may sound really simple... Could you not buy a really cheap second hand car.

£500 max on the car (£41.50 a month for a year) £50 a month insurance, £50 petrol, £10 tax

My figures may not be accurate but even a minimum wage job would still see you a profit after deductions.

Even on a minimum wage job (£5.93)

£5.93 x 35 x 4 = £830

Take away the tax (say 20%) £166

£664

Minus the £41.50 + £50 + £50 + £10 £151.50

£512.50 in the black

While correct, would require an initial outlay which I presume OP doesn't have :/
