Can you get a negative feedback removed ?

I bought a game off a buffoon which arrived covered in dry food with no box or instructions, he leaves a feedback saying it says on the the thread that there is no box or instructions, when you can clearly see it doesnt. Doesnt seem fair that I should have a negative because he's a con merchant

That's the point - feedback indicates that the original post stated it was the discs only, when actually it doesn't say that at all. The description is very vague.

The seller says 'well if you read the 2nd post it does say disc only' in answer to insomniacs 1st complaint.

Because he has 100 plus feedback and i said 'ill take resident evil 2 assuming its in good condition' it was not in good condition it was scratched, covered in scum and unboxed with no instructions
#10
Did it say it included both those things?

Hey, I'm not saying I agree with the seller, I was just pointing out to someone who asked about where it said 'game only'.

Edit: Soz insomniac, on re-reading it does clearly say PS2 games disc only, and as RE2 is PS1 you are 100% correct.

Soz for poking my bugle in!!

yeah seems to be fairly clear to me....

and condition is OPs word against his - I don't see a case for feedback removal here....

it says 2 discs, but I guess you would expect a box as well!

Still I don't think its clear cut enough to have it removed personally.

Ask ASB, he will make the decision, not us.

PS1 Resident evil 2- 2 discs £3 Sold to iNSOMANiAC < no mention of disc ONLY
PS1 GTA2 £4 DISCS ONLY < disc only, but a different game

PS2 Games DISC ONLY < PS2 games....

Besides all that, the games were sold in good condition, I personally don't class scratched and food caked on them as good condition?

yeah I realise that - I misread.

However, the mods will only remove obviously false feedback. Condition is just opinion vs opinion, and OPs word against him.

He might get some slack from the mods though on the box/no box front.

Buyer left neg - seller left retaliatory neg - just like the old days on Thiefbay.
#21
They won't remove it i'm afraid had a simular experience myself :( mods were nice about it and even said could clearly see who was in the wrong however as its feedback it can't be removed. :(
#22
I don't see why he should have the right to leave bad feedback. You paid didn't you...

^^^This.

What was his/her reason for leaving a neg?
#24
I left neg feedback because he didn't make no attempt to contact me before leaving a neg. If i would have had contact then i would have refunded but NOOOOO he will just leave a neg and deal with it in 2 months time
#25
regardless of whether you sent a refund or whatever you deserved a negative feedback due to the state of the item which was not in the good condition i assumed it would be when i said 'ill buy it assuming its in good condition'. Then you leave a negative because ive left one, which is just petty.
#26
As superskilly says, they wont remove feedback.. I have a retaliatory neutral on my otherwise excellent feedback... you can see clearly from the thread that I wasn't being unreasonable in leaving my neutral.. but when your up against someone with high feedback seems some of them think they can do as they please! But the mods wont step in. and other are afraid to leave neutral neg feedback in fear of getting retaliatory neutral/neg feedback back :(

i left a neg because you were a bad buyer....a good buyer would have contacted me about the problem. not getting into an argument over this so i will say no more on this thread...if they remove your neg then so be it but in my eyes you deserve it. I've got better things to do then sit here and read your stupid posts

Clearly you havent lol

Why wait a month to ask about it?
#31
To be fair if there was a problem with something I bought, the first thing I would have done is contacted the buyer. I don't understand why this hasn't happened in this scenario.
#32
i received something scratched and dirty and as far as im concerned, not as described .Considering it was £3.00 i just threw it in the bin and left a negative feedback i didnt want a big discussion about it, the negative feedback was deserved i shouldnt have to be contacting people about things because they are in filthy condition and unboxed.

yeah thats the first thing i would have done, not posted that i was going to leave negative feeback.

Always best to communicate with the buyer/seller before just leaving feedback as most of the time they will just do it back to you.

I learnt that lesson on ebay

Well as the seller said, had you spend your energy typing a PM to him, rather than typing out a negative feedback, you would have got your money back, and this discussion wouldn't have taken place.

I've had a review of this transaction. I think it genuinely reflects both members viewpoints on the sale. No need for any further action.
