Not sure about that one. I've got a Blackberry and had to have a specific bolt on to be able to get hotmail on it. Otherwise had to access it through the browser which was a pain. Now mine come through like texts.

there are various ways round it but they involve 3rd party servers, ive been using izzymail for about 18 months with no problems. i pay £10 a year but there used to be a free option as well. to get hotmail properly you would need to pay for hotmail premium which is £59 a year.

I can on the 2g one, but i have to redirect it via Gmail, theres a thread on here showing how to do it.

There's an app on iTunes called mboxMail and works pretty well, costs about £6 I think. Worth it to be trouble free, my technophobe wife has been using it fine for the last couple of weeks.

Alternatively you could simply navigate to Hotmail in Safari and read your mail that way, takes longer but if you bookmark the page it's not all bad.

I've had my iPod touch 4 days nearly and do this:

google hotmail in safari on the iPod Touch/phone

sign in to hot mail account through appropriate

go to msn 'home' - set that as your bookmark*

* the reason why I didn't say bookmark 'msn inbox' is because when using 'inbox' as a bookmark it loads up a screen saying 'upgrade web browser' etc which you then have to go around.

I found when you bookmark msn 'home' you just have to select inbox after that. No 'upgrade web browser' prompts since I changed my bookmark.

Emailing via Hotmail works fine this way.

No need to pay £6 for something you don't really need - imo :)

Bookmark if unedited will read "Home - Windows Live"

I do this all the time but the fomatting is a joke. It displays as if it was made with basic HTML coding (times new roman)

It never used to display like this and recently when I logged in there was a whole new format which seemed dedicated to a portable device however that has since gone and still hotmail displays so poorly within Safari.

I've cleared the cache and all that but I cant seem to find much on google regarding this, just the normal stuff of how you get hotmail working with gmail (gmail etc)

Anyone have the same issue?
