I've got to about 14,000 :-( even with the speakers on full, I blame it on cheap laptop speakers:whistling:

Yeah I could hear up to 22000 but had that reaction when taking hearing tests in the past. Got a stonking headache now though :-D

I'll be giving this a shot when I get home, though I wonder whether I'd rather not know the answer :) Will test with speakers and headphones.

I can usually tell when a TV is on in the other room even if the sound is switched off though.

test 1: Laptop Speakers
Can hear up to 16khz, but not 17khz. Then I can hear 18khz!?!?
