Can you help?

I am currently eligible for an upgrade, but not sure if I should stay or run. I currently have a Sony Ericsson W850i on the T-Mobile Flext 20 and pay £17.00 a month. I do like Sony Ericsson as I love to use the program My Phone Explorer for sending messages and sorting out my phonebook etc.

I would like to use the Internet on my phone so expect that I may have to pay a little more.

Has anyone got any thoughts on what I should do? i.e what phone, tariff, network etc....

Thanks in advance

Choose a phone you want...... then dont settle for nothing until you get a deal you want.

If they dont seem like they wanna give you it..... say that ur afraid you would rather cancel then, and I guarantee that they will give you a deal that you are happy with.

Always works, phone companies the easiest to haggle with.

If you like SOny Ericcsonn go for the newest one of them. Its a nice phone.

Any ideas what the latest one is? And what good offers networks are doing?

t-mobile are cack on trying to keep you, as others have said decide what you want and stick to it, i go for a new contract every year through cpw on cashback, as t-mobile usually only knock a fiver off and no new phone

I have been with T Mobile for 3 years now, when my contract is up I opt to have my charge halved for the next 18months, then I buy a mobile separately. I am paying £10 per month now

Probably the Sony Ericsson K850i is the newest phone, is their 5MegaPixel Camera phone that is the competition for the Nokia N95 and Sansung G600/G800 and LG Viewty.

Not sure what T-Mobile are like on keeping youu, but just keep to what you want and say you will try a change of netwrok if you cant have that phone.
And they should either offer you it........ or if they dont, its not such a bad loss either as im sure theres quite a few deals out there that would be suitable not from T Mobile.

The advantage of haggling with a network you have been a customer with for a while is you can generally usually get what you want as they USUALLY want to keep you as a customer.

Phones dont cost them much to get.... so should be able to get a good deal.

I have been with them for probably 7+ years and when I think of it I have probably gained nothing. For what you have said I would only save money if I bought a phone for less than £180.

^^ Plus if you have been with them 7+ years, they should offer you all the newest phones... even mention that while your haggling if you end up haggling...

Say stuff like.... "Having been with you 7 or so years I enjoy the service you provide and would hate to have to cancel with you" etc etc lol =)

From the T-Mobile site if I upgraded to the K850i it would cost me £119.99...Are they having a laugh.....

I try stuff like that with them every year and usually get something, but not much. I was wondering if anyone on here was on a good network and recommend a good phone etc....

Ring them up, talking to a sales guy you will get alot better prices and deals.... plus is that an upgrade, or is that if you are a new customer?

The fact that you are already a customer, and not someone only just taking out a contract with them..... they see you as someone that should re-new and stay with the company, if you dont, they see that as a failure.

Trust mee ;-] lol

Tbh the key is just sticking to your guns.... going to that stage where they think you will ACTUALLY cancel.

Me and sister on vodafonee, and was gonna cancel, bloke kept ringing back offering more and more until we accepted.

First he was offering none of the top range phones, by end was offering N95 and the G600 (this before Viewty and Ericssonn came out)..... on good deals.

The Sony Ericsson K850i mobile phone carries the Cyber-shot name, telling the world it's serious about photography. It certainly is, with a 5 megapixel camera capturing high-quality images. Beneath the automatic lens cover is an auto-focus lens for sharper pictures, assisted by a bright xenon flash, red-eye reduction, an image stabiliser and Sony Ericsson's BestPic feature. This clever option takes nine shots in quick succession, making it easier to capture the perfect moment. Underexposed pictures can be improved with the phone's built-in editing software, while your favourites can be uploaded immediately to a photo blog.

Yet the K850i is more than a camera. It's a music player as well, offering stereo Bluetooth compatibility and an expandable memory. And it'll go online, thanks to a proper web browser, RSS reader and email software.

That would be enough for some phones but the Sony Ericsson K850i hasn't finished. The screen is protected with scratch-resistant mineral glass. There's 3G compatibility for fast internet downloads and face-to-face video calls. You'll enjoy quad-band international coverage too... along with games, an FM radio and a well-specified organiser.
So put away your digital camera and pack up your MP3 player. All you need is the Sony Ericsson K850i.

Received this earlier today:

Thanks for your further email telling me about the cost of the K850i if you upgraded with us, which you know would be a lot cheaper elsewhere.

I completely appreciate your concern in paying such a high amount towards this phone. I'll look into this and give you the best alternative.

I've checked your account and can see that your contract runs out on 2 July. However, as you're a long term and very valuable customer, you have an option to upgrade three months before your contract ends.

I'd request you to please contact our loyalty team on 150 from your mobile or 0845 412 5000 from a landline. Landline calls are charged at local rates if you're a BT customer. We're here everyday from 8.30am to 10pm.

The reason I'm asking you to call them is because they deal with the upgrades on every account. And it's only them who would be able to give you the best available offers and promotions going on.

Thanks again for your email Darren. I'm sure this helps answer your question. And hope you'll find a phone that suits your need as soon as possible.

For any other questions, please feel free to reply to my email and I'll be more than happy to help.
