Does anyone have knowledge of how to apply for a permenant visa in Canada for UK resident?

I have family in canada, if that helps.

Thanks in advance.

Contacting the Canadian embassy would probably be the best bet. Link's . How easy you'll find it to attain a permanent visa, I don't know. I've a mate who moved there a few years ago, he had a nightmare of a time. Good luck with it, though. I'd appreciate it if you could let us know how you get on btw, as I wouldn't mind moving there myself at some point.
I think if you have immediate family and they will sponsor your application it's a darn sight easier to get a visa than if you didn't, if that helps.
we lived in the USA and it took us 3 years to get a visa, hubby had to get a job offer and the company then sponsored him, but the visa is then tied to that Company, so if you dont like the job you cant just leave and get another one, dont know if it is the same for Canada but having family there will certainly help, but I still think you have to get a job offer. Not sure if it is done on points, it used to be and you got quite a lot of points with family ties, also dont know if you have children but the visa issued is for the family, I was not allowed to work and as soon a my daughter reached 21 she would no longer be allowed to stay, which was really stupid
