Cancel your Vodafone contract early

Has anyone tried to cancel their contract as per the three blog?

http://blog.three.co.uk/2014/06/25/hellothree/

When Vodafone announced that it was to allow some customers to break their contracts free of charge on the back of price hikes – as long as they wrote to Vodafone by June 28th – we were incredibly concerned: what if those customers missed the deadline?

With so much to say and so little time, we’re doing the legwork for Vodafone customers across the UK by employing comedian and part-time politician Rufus Hound to pen the ultimate break-up letter.

Vodafone customers can download Rufus’ template for the perfect break-up letter and send it to their soon to be ex – making for a quick and painless separation. Upon reciept of the letter Vodafone will call to confirm cancellation. Breaking up has never been so easy!

Sorry Vodafone but #HelloThree.

I'm tempted to give it a go but there isn't much time to do so.

Anyone got any good advice?

Voda can be sods at getting out of their own T&C's.

vodafone will only even consider it IF you had months where you were going outside your monthly allowance.

TBH three are taking mickey a little. There coverage around my area was a joke after even looking at what I should get.
Why they have took to Vodafone for a pop is beyond me, best signal I've ever received.
Rather pay for something I can receive, than pay for something slightly cheaper and keep having problems. Plus vodafones cashback was £120 which sweetened the deal.

Do you have the link at all?

Thanks.

I had three months where my boy went over his allowance substantially.

You can download the letter from this link http://blog.three.co.uk/2014/06/25/hellothree/

I'm thinking even If I send the letter tomorrow 27th June, Vodafone still wouldn't receive it before 28th June :/.
Does anyone know if you can email them? I wouldn't even know the postal address to send it to.

How soon do you want your contract to end if you are unwilling to wait more than a day?...

Edit: tomorrow is the 28th June....
