Right, a few months ago, well about six. I was driving up a multi storey car park and heard a crunching noise from around the left wheel area.

I didnt hit anything, or bump into anything. I then went to park and it did the same again.

Since then it hasent done it again but it steers to the left quite a bit. It cant be the tracking as i have had it done by two different companies 4 times (took it back after each time to say it was not right)

Also, when i am on full lock, either left or right, i get some terrible crunching noises when i moving (Not when i am stopped).

Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? I got my gf dads mate (who is a mechanic) to have a look at the wheel bearings and he said it was not that.

Im finding it hard to book it into a garage as i work 25 miles away.

 cv joints, put your car on full lock then check the rubber gaters that hold in the grease, sometimes they split or work lose

Broken coil spring for the win :-D, do what the boy racers do and cut them in half till shes so low it looks like its crawling all over the ground (No please dont)

Two poster ramp is ideal for checking this, so best get it checked at a garage :(

Is tracking the same as wheel alignment? My car also was moving to the left, also my steering wheel had to be held at an angle to go in a straight line. Got a wheel alignment done sorted the problem.

ohh, cv joints, roll bar bushes, lower arm bushes

basically needs a thorough look at

do you have wide aftermarket wheels? as they could rub against the wheel arches

Haha, wide aftermarket wheels. I only own a 5 door 1.4 206, wouldnt exactly look good!!

I got some time off work next month, will just have to drop it in then and wait for them to rip me off.
