Just a thread to see what people paid for insurance last year and this year when they renewed.

This year i went from 1400 to 660 for fully comp on a 1.6 pug 207.

this is after one years driving and 1 years NCB

Such a massive difference that i was not expecting, Anyone else the same?

Clearly fronting for it to be that low, so really it doesnt count, bit like you saying you got 5 DVDs for a tenner from hmv and me saying i got 50 for a fiver from the barras, illegeal!

Change companies else they rip the hole out of it further

I usually do, and tried to again this year, but their increased premium was STILL the best I could find. Even requoting as a newbie came up dearer. I was suprised, but apparently that's the average increase in premiums anyway.

Wowza looks like the rest of us got quite lucky then.

Thats not too bad, i started with a corsa at 22/23 when i passed and that was about a grand.
Its not went down too much over the years but last year was a jump from a 1.2 corsa to my 1.6 astra, and it luckily stayed about the same.

And nope not swapping my Astra, i love the thing lol
(till i get a bigger one :D )

My dad paid £340 last year for fully comp on 09 Astra sxi from RAC which increased to around £670 this year so ended up going to LV and got for £420 with legal assistance and hire car.

My mates insurance has doubled on his renewal quote for an 04 Astra to £1200 so he's shopping around, 29 and think he has 7 years no claims.

I'm with aviva too. How old are you? Something very suspect about your prices. I would be thoroughly reading my paperwork after a drop like that. I don't know ANYONE who has paid less this year than last.

EDIT: just seen you're 23. Sounds wrong to me... double check it's the same cover and they've not cocked up with your age or sex or address or motor or something! Otherwise, if it's all good, I'm just jealous.
