Might be a stupid question but here goes:

Could I put the battery from a 1.6L fairly new astra into a '99 peugeot 106?

Just need to get the 106 moved and battery is dead so will be putting battery back in the astra when done.

Cheers

Yep - cant see why not

Yes you can.

If You've got (or can borrow) a set of jump leads the a better option would be to leave the batteries where they are & jump-start the Peugot.
#4
If it's just to move it then yes.
#5
are the terminals the same shape or why not use jump leads. before you remove the battery from the astra make sure you know the radio code and how to input it
#6
I would of thought so ?
#7
Jump leads? :?

So long as the terminals are matching I dont see a problem, make sure you secure the battery firmly though, but as others have said jump starting will be the best option!

Thanks for the advice.

Battery in the 106 is totally dead because tried to recharge it but hasn't even got enough power to open the central locking so don't know if i could still jump it??

Might be another stupid question but what do you mean by the radio code?

the code is a security feature if the power supply is interupted then you will have to input the code again presuming it has this facility
