My car windscreen keeps getting scratched and i have no idea why. I have changed the wipers, washed the window and around it.

It seems to be day by day its getting worse.

Does anyone know what it could be?

hmm, is it possible someone treated the screen in the past with rain-x , a stupid thing to coat the windscreen with, when it wears off, its horrid

you can get some glass polish from autoglym, that will probably get rid of most of the marks
are you sure the wipers are contacting right and not flopping over so the plastic is hitting the screen?

the rubber from the wipers wont mark the screen, but the plastic parts sure will,

Scratch could be caused by the metal/plastic ends of the wiper blade especially if the blades are non standard issue or it could be the arm is bent so the wiper is not cleaning in a correct arc Thanks Bavis

Thanks for the replies, i have no idea about the rain-x.

I doubt it is the plastic as i have changed the wipers, it just seems to be the past couple of months or so that it has been happening. But i changed the wipers two weeks ago and its still doing it.

I think some glass polish might be needed. I think they are contacting properly.
