I'm an electrician. Great money and allows you to work in many countries. I did that for over 10 years. It was a great laugh, good money, seen places I probably would never have visited otherwise. The jobs can be a bit pish though. If I were you, I would try and find something that you enjoy. Don't worry about money too much just now. It is much better to do something that you love for half the money than doing something that you don't! Personally I wouldn't join the Army. It is not for everyone and it does take a certain mentality! I also worked in the Falkland Islands, British owned, in the Army base. Soldiers are nuts! If you are not nuts, I wouldn't even contemplate it! Train for something that you are passionate about  Hopefully it is not killing innocent people, which should rule out the Army

Well the 2 things i good at, sport (football) and construction. I know that i will not make it in football, i would be in a acamdemy by now if i was good enough. So that leaves me with construction. I think i enjoyed electrical the most when i have done the basics at school, so i will go for this. I have apply at a local college, 3 days a week at college and 2 days working. Its called something like Electrical Installation St1 C&G Full Time.

rehydrated......you said its great money, do you work for a big company or what?

If you enjoy it just now I'd say go for it. It will get you a good qualification, and if you don't like it, you can always do something else. I would say it is as good if not better than coming out of Uni with a degree in some abstract course or other. Future employers amoungst other things, only want to know that you can apply yourself and stick at things. There is a big shortage of tradesmen. Outwith the current financial climate, I would say there will be a big demand for trades in the coming years, so you should be able to pick up work and get some good jobs. Also, you can work all over Europe

* I used to. Then I went self-employed. Once you are qualified you can work anywhere, just get your card and you will be sorted.
