That info is all well and good. BUT their computer system is a complete joke. Went into a store to upgrade my sons payg (was 12+ months old and had been topped up every month) and they said it didn't qualify? But couldn't explain why, it was just a case of 'computer says no', they'd happily sell the same handset sim from for 50 quid more though....

I wonder if the computer does this when they need more money through the tills??

well yeah almost same crap happened to me too, i booked a phone online and went to a CPW store when shopping around, customer advisor checked my order number and told me that my order is in store if i wanna buy it then or later, i said i will buy it next day... same night i got an email from CPW that i didnt collect my order and it is cancelled now... well in some way it went good as that time it was £89.95 and now £59.95.... that fault saved me 30 quid, Lol

I have an Orange Sim. I only use it for Orange Weds codes and haven't topped it up in ages. I just added a £5 topup to it to try and upgrade. CPW checker says I am not eligible. I guess I need to wait for the topup to register somewhere. Anyone know how long this takes?

Yup, i guess the same as orange might need to update CPW's records.

Spoke with CPW and they are having problems with Orange upgrades at the moment. It might be a few weeks before it is resolved. :(

I found voda sim with no credit. Took IOU i.e. £3 lend until next top up, initially it didn't qualify for upgrade but after two days i was eligible for upgrade :) Hope this helps

cheers

raulvibes

note: voda sim serial no is kinda confusing, you gotta omit last 4 digits starting from alphabet and dial *#100# to find sim number.

I trimmed my sim card (Virgin) so that it could fit in my existing Lumia.

The Carphone Warehouse website is asking for my sim card number but I no longer have it as the sim has been cut.

Any ideas concerning what I can do?

Will the Carphone Warehouse staff be able to take care of it for me?

I would prefer to check it online first though

Cheers guys

On windows phones go to Settings>About>More Information>SIM ID

On android go to Settings>about>phone identity. If it's not there ther are several apps which will find it.
