carphone warehouse virgin 6 month contract

I have the Virgin 6 month contact which is free through redemption. There are two £60 cheques u recieve when u send in your bill. The 1st bill i had was in march,and according to Virgin after i cancelled my contract today for when the 6 months is up, the final bill would be the 6th one i have already recieved this month.
Carphone warehouse are saying i needto send the bill dated september, which as far as I am aware i wont get, because Virgin have said i have already recieved my final bill.

How am i supposed to gett my final cheque if i dont actually get a september bill?
Unless Virgin have told me wrongly that there wont be a final september one.
Any ideas or anybody with the same deal i would appreciate some advice

iv already called to cancel it earlier on, surely i shouldnt have to do that tho, because my 1st bill was in march so my sixth would be august. I dont get why they are saying send in the september one

i had my first bill in march, around a fortnight after i had the deal. i had to send in my 4th airtime bill, which i thought would be june, but they said it should have been the july one. I sent the july one in and i got the cashback. now they want a september one which i wont recieve according to Virgin. My 6th one would be the august one, and id have thought the 4th i recieved would have been the june one.

it maybe because your first bill in march didnt show your connection of a month, if it didnt then you must be getting an extra bill as your contract wont be for 6 months

oh right ok thanks for the advice. Iv just been a bit worried incase i dont get the september one, because the lady from Virgin said to me on the phone i wouldnt be getting another bill

what was your first bill for? was it 2 weeks? 4 weeks?

i had the contract on the 2nd of march and my bill came in on the 15th of march

yes i get that, but what was the bill for? ie- the dates the bill was from and too?

Im with t-mobile and i get billed immeditely for a month in advance, so although i get my bill immediately it is still my 1st bill as its for the month

iv just found the bill out it doesnt say what its for. It just has the invoice date on it as the 6th of march and thats for my 300+300 bundle from march 3rd up until my next one.

its for 20 quid which is a months bill.

in that case you should have bills dated the 6th march (1st) 6th april (2nd) 6th may (3rd) 6th june (4th) 6th july (5th) 6th august (6th)

so why they have taken the 5th bill and not the 4th is beyond , not sure what you can do expcept get back on the phone to cpw and ask what is going on, even better to write to the top dog at cpw (recorded deivery) and ask them, as cpw customer services are diabolical

yes thats right i have all of those bills and im not expecting another. I dont get how they expect me to send a bill in i wont get. Surely theres a lot of other people who this is going to effect.
They said something to me on the phone about the march one not counting as the 1st one. Why this is i dont know

yes it says just one bill, but iv spoke to several different people and they all say the 4th and the 6th. The say the information on the website is wrong

thn get a screen shot of what it says, and show what a balls up cpw have made of this claim, i am on my 3rd contract with cpw with cashback deals and never had a problem yet, apart from them trying to get me to send wrong bill in, sent in what i thought not what they said and got the cashback, im sure they lie in the hope you will miss it, but by everything you said on here, they should have excepted the 4th bill, not the 5th, you need to put all this in writing to them, as im sure they will will bull their way out of it over the phone, good luck :thumbsup:

cheers. I actually sent them the 4th one but they wrote back to me saying it was the wrong one. All this has been more hassle than its worth i dont think il bother again lol

well 300 text and 300 minutes for £10 per month aint to bad, thats the way to look at it

i was a little concerned about this new one i have taken out, website didnt say when to claim, quidco has been refused, so i really thought i aint gonna get the cashback either, but sent in normal bill 4 and its just been paid, but had it not i would have had to take it at possibly £8 per month because the last 2 years have been free after cashback, best to look at it that way ;-)

I took this deal out for my daughter, only sent in the sixth bill, paid out 2x £60 cheques within 3 weeks..
