Which banks have the highest cash withdrawal limit on their machines?
This is a machine, not account limit query.

Anyone know?

(inb4 booty spams it for some code of conduct violation, and it gets reinstated)

Think it depends on the actual machine and what notes it stocks, there is a limit to how many notes it can collate in one transaction (probably 25 for most machines, so its unlikely to be higher than £500). I believe there may be some machines in the city etc that give out £50's, so they might be able to give more; conversely a machine stocked with £5's is unlikely to be able to give over £250.

Lloyds if 500 if you ask to change the limits. 300 as norm. Banks are open all day and saturdays so can't see why you would need more. I would rather keep it low or security

i would like the option of £2000

20,000 is possible.

Thanks people.

My bank has a 10k limit, but this is obviously dependant on the machine limit.

I went to HSBC, and they have a £590 limit, so I withdrew that.
I then went to barclays around the corner, and even though there is a £500 limit, the machine wouldn't let me withdraw anymore.

I had to resort to more unconventional methods of obtaining cash.
#14
£590 seems a rather random amount? What was the note breakdown?
#15
Chances are that your bank put a block on the 2nd transaction as withdrawing large amounts could be seen as suspisicous behaviour by the computers that control the machines in that it could be someone fraudulently using your card and trying to clear your account out.

Perhaps try again the next day and see.

Most banks would normally say for you to go in to withdraw large amounts...

First direct £500 for me

Congrats on a 20+ thread.....

BTW my personal limit for my first direct accounts is £2000 and I shall probably be taking £1500 from the machine in 10 days time to pay for some work Im having done at home if I don't find the cash in a drawer somewhere indoors.

from a machine?

If there was a machine that also had a daily limit that high, then "yes".
The whole point of the thread was to find the highest "machine" limit so that I could withdraw a large amount in one day.

So why say £10000?

Can't you just give your dealers an IOU?

Say you eject £700, do you stand there counting your wod of cash in case the machine gave you the wrong amount?

I would.

But then again I have a brain and I would either get the cash over the counter or use an ATM inside the branch for 'safety' instead of using a dirty one outside that has been **** on by a tramp.
