Hi guys,

I need to claim back money for the carphonewarehouse cashback deal I have. Its been 4 months now and I remember its every 4 months that I claim back. My bills are sent to me electronically (I log in to mycarphonewarehouse for them). Here they are so far :-

http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/9425/arfn8.png

I want to know:-

1) How do I claim back ? Do I need to print something out and send it somewhere ? I will send it recorded delivery.
2) Why I am charged more in the first bill (shouldnt it be £35 as thats my tariff .. ?

Thanks a lot !!

Erm... I'm not sure how those part months atthe beginning work with CPW...

I'll dig out the claim details now.

thanks a lot ducky !

These are the details for contracts taken out between 1st April 2005 and 28th February 2007.

http://media.phonehouse.com/mediaserver/servlet/AssetServer?id=GLOBAL132891&ver=7&RD=YES

You will need to send claims at month 4, 8 and 12.

Here's how to make your claim:

1) Print off the relevant bill: motnh 4, month 8 or month 12.
2) Print off the last page of the .pdf document HERE.
3) Cut out the voucher for claim 1, 2 or 3.
4) Send your bill and the claim voucher to the following address via Recorded Delivey, NOT the address on the printed out sheet!!

Chequebacks
The Carphone Warehouse
PO Box 4311
DUNSTABLE
LU6 9BJ

EDIT: These claim forms are really confusing. You shouldn't need that fourth one. :)

Thanks a lot ducky !!! That's exactly what I needed.

One last Q; is it actually time for me to claim back ? I remember someone telling me the first bill does not count and its actually the 5th bill I need to send it. This is what really confuses me as I need to make sure It really is time to claim back.

All the bills I have are in the screens above !

thanks :)

oh and also, I can't see information in there about why I am charged more in the first bill ... any ideas ?

so that's two last questions hehe

I'm not sure about that first bill.

You've paid for 4 months upto 14th June by the looks of things. That's your 4th month bill. So yes, that is the bill you need to send off.

EDIT: It seems the higher bill price because their billing cycle is on the 15th of each month. You may want to contact them and ask about it.

superbo. I will call cpw about the first bill which I do not understand.

thanks a lot *thumbs up*

just got a cheque back from carphone warehouse of the amount £128.33. I pay £35 a month so why is the amount not £140 ? Hoepfully theres an obvious answer to this but I couldnt work it out.

Thanks a lot.

12 months at £2.99? Or were you on another similar deal, just worked it out, you're on 11 months free. They average it out rather than you paying a full month somewhere.

The first bill is higher because they charge up until their billing cycle starts if that makes sense? So you pay full months but your first one is highly unlikely to be exactly a full month. Usually they send this as a seperate bill which is why most people say to send your fifth bill not your fourth as the first part bill shouldn't count. But in your case they've merged the two so your fourth bill is your fourth bill. Hope that helps.

you ar absolutely right. its because there are 11 months free and not 12 , as I first thought :)

thanks a lot.

Think the address changed a while ago, have you checked the t&c's on their web-site? Should have the address on there and the procedure to claim./

Phone them up, I asked them to send me an e-mail confirming which bills so there could be no argument. They sent me an e-mail within 24 hours.

I was actually so pleasantly suprised by the good service provided (I usually have to argue for hours over this sort of thing) that I sent an e-mail back thanking them for restoring my faith in customer service departments!
