Something smells in that article....

They've probably been paid by Mrs Cashback...
#3
Impartial? I think not
#4
That seems very biased, odd for the BBC.

Obviously a badly researched subject by the BBC. Aside from QuidCo, they've missed out others too and made it look as if cashback sites need to make big profits to be good.

There'll be some upset people who miss out on the real potential of earning back their own money from the likes of QuidCo...
#6
a little side stepping here ; i cant use quidco because I paypal dont let me use paypal for a reason they have not justified. Anyway, is there an alternative just-as-good service which I can use to get cashback without needing a paypal account ? Thanks
#7
Use QuidCo. Within a month or so they're supposed to have bank transfer (BACS) set up.

 Hopefully that will help loads more people to use it!!
#8
oh excellent ... I'll sign up now then so when the cashback is available I can withdraw it using BACS.
#9
you have to be a very heavy user to recieve BACS...like, properly quid-dicted ! i'd suggest you raise your minimum payment to something like £300 and wait until you reach that point for them to then maybe consider you for BACS, but even so it still might depend on your general use overall and actual total. BACS takes ages for the poor quidco guys because it has to all be done manually and checked etc i presume. Until they manage to get it setup to do it automatically i very much doubt it will get rolled out as a method of payment for everyone. Cyrus...you could just setup a new paypal address with a different email address and use that one mate !!
#10
tried to make a new paypal account like that already mate but they keep canceling it. Plus, once the money is in I'd need to take it out and I cant add my bank as theyve stopped me using Paypal (for no reason !!).
#11
ryoooh... QuidCo are bringing in BACS paymen for everyone I think in a while, as soon as their bank sets it up. That's what I was told by QuidCo anyway. ;)

I don't know if anyone else can shed a little more light on this??
#12
QuidCo say they are looking into cost effective ways of getting cashback to members.
#13
they have BACS already...but its not cost or time effective to email everyone for their bank details when many members might not have a reasonable amount to make it worthwhile? How much do paypal fees cost if you get paid through that method anyway? The Quidco people must spend long enough already on the few bacs they do do, because it all has to be manually done...cant escape that fact.
#14
It is possbile to do BACS automatically I think, it's just that QuidCo hasn't found an appropriate scheme yet.

I'm sure they're probably working on it. ;)
#15
probably ! they work during bank holiday weekends dont ya know ! ;)
#16
 That's a first for any organisation.

MRS cashback don't even let you see voucher and promotional codes unless you are a member. :( But they are the same as all the ones on here anyway.

Oh - and look at this spelling mistake on their welcome page:

Mrs cashback
What does Mrs CashBack do? Mrs CashBack controls the online team here at MrsCashBack.com. She scours the web for the very best deals online from all retailers, and then negotiates cashback for you! When you make an online purchase through this site with one of our partners, Mrs CashBack tracks your purchase and allocates your account with the relevant cash back earnt!

That's not even a word!

And here, in their Q&A section:

Mrs cashback
I have made a purchase on-line and this is not showing up on my account.
Acknowledgment of some transactions may not show up on your account details immediately as some retailers will need their guarantee or returns period to expire.

Whlist many transaction can show on your account within 24hrs, this can mean that your cash-back can take up to 30 days for you to see it displayed.

PLUS they pay you by Cheque, and charge you £3 for every withdrawal. Scandalous.

OK. That's my rant over for the night.
#18
good rant...not sure about the earnt thing though...i think it is a word !! but who cares, mrs cashback is a filthy woman.

No such word as "Earnt" - should be earned..!
