Cashback tracking- No worries!

Right every day on here I here people saying I hope quidco tracks:) and rightly so cos sometimes this can be a deal killer.

But I would like to tell people I use Rpoints as well as quidco but mainly rpoints.

There is no fee to pay(no annual fee and no BACS withdrawal fees) and I always get at least the same cashback as quidco and sometimes more.

But more importantly I have NEVER had a item not paid out on in over 2 years. Even the odd time an item hasn't tracked, Rpoints have always paid out if I have an order number even where they have received no money from the retailer in question.

Can't comment for quidco in this regard but Rpoints gets a big:thumbsup: from me and I never have to worry about tracking like quidco users.

Let's see how long this thread lasts cos from experience Rpoints is like a banned word on this site:whistling:

rpoints is not a banned word and neither are other sites. Our policy is that we do not allow self-referral. I do not believe any thread or post has ever been removed because it mentioned rpoints.

Sorry to disappoint.

I agree that people should look around when using cashback sites as there isn't just one out there.

Sorry to disapoint.

Im not disappointed cos I have no invested interest in rpoints or any other site if I did I would declare it :)

I have had a thread removed before that mentioned rpoints Highest cashback promise though :whistling:

My only interest is letting people know rpoints in a good alternative if not better than quidco imho as it seems there is a quidco monopoly around here:)

Maybe people can add their experience of quidco where items don't track? Do quidco still pay out?

No problem with that. Many members use any cashback site that they wish to use. Unlike rpoints they are welcome to mention that here.

I'm not going to get into a back and forth on this. Horses for courses :) However, if you want to fill in an HCP on every rpoints purchase you do and you match to Quidco you will have to pay a £5 admin fee on rpoints also.

col, Have you seen this post:-
http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44683

I checked this out and it was because you posted that as a Hot Deal. Posting in misc is fine as this thread is.

My post is mainly highlighting rpoints always pay out for me so I don't have to worry about tracking. Yes they do not pay any extra for the first £5 worth of claims to counter quidco's fee. But they also don't charge for withdrawal's to your bank like quidco do.

But again this is not the purpose of my post it's about payout success where tracking fails.
If people get pay outs from quidco on non tracked items then fair enough but I have no experience so comments welcome:thumbsup:

I have my Quidco payments paid into my bank and to my knowledge there is NO fee involved.:?
Quidco do not pay anything that has not tracked.I don't see how they can if they don't receive anything from the retailer.:?

From quidco site

Does it cost anything to use BACS?

We currently charge 5p for every monthly payment we make to you (not per individual transaction you make through quidco!) using BACS. This small charge helps to cover the costs of running BACS payments.

Thanks for feedback on non payments for non tracked transactions:thumbsup:

Rpoints take the point of view that if you have visited a retailer though them that day and the item does not track they still pay if you give them order details. Takes the lottery out of it all:)

Didn't know that they took 5p,but i am not going to cry over that trivial amount.

Could be costly for Rpoints if they had to pay out untracked transactions, going by the number of untracked quidco transactions you here about on here.

How do they know you went through Rpoints though? Couldnt people who forgot to use Rpoints just put a claim in with the order number???

They know exactly what sites you have visited through them each time you visit.

Just cos they know you have visited a site doesn't mean the transaction will track successfully.

They do try and contact the retailer with your details to chase up your claim first cos obviously they want to be paid if possible, but if you make up the details then they could find out this way.

Right, I thought they must be able to know, otherwise that would be greatly abused!

I read this thread with interest and thought I should suspend lurker status to join in for a bit

I used to use rpoints and have more recently switched most of my buying to quidco although I use the rpoints forums still especially for betting as they are really useful. So like col I've got no interest other than that. The reason I use quidco is simply it is not worth my time to submit an HCP claim for every transaction I do, is it worth my time to bother for every play.com purchase ?? it's a lot of bother for no purpose, I might as well use quidco and save submitting the claims. As for the 5p once a month at quidco that is well worth the time saved by not having to fill out a claim continuously throughout the month.

ok so as for things not tracking. There is no difference here and myself I've never had many problems. If something doesn't track on quidco you submit a missing claim just like you do on rpoints.

I've read complaints either way and really to be honest there is no difference between any of the cashback sites out htere. Take a look at the Questions and Feedback forum on rpoints and you can read all the same complaints, these links took me about five minutes to make:

made this claim: "24566 Scratch2cash 6 Dec 2006 Submitted 15 Jan 2007 750" a month before and it still have this status. Is there any problem in submision

I have a claim from Lloyds TSB insurance, logged the claim in October I think.
Since then there has been no progress and I don't know how else to contact the Rpoints people investigating the claim.

For the last couple of weeks the tracking has been sketchy to say the least but i've had nothing appear on my statement for over a week, when certain sites normally appear within minutes.

I seem to have to claim for any rpoints over the last few months. When I joined they appeared on the whole directly. Is anyone else having the same difficulties?

Statement from Richard about missing transactions

so in the end anything is going to have fanboi's on either side, like Apple and PC but realistically there is not so much difference and you should go with what works for you.

Hi just925 and congratulations on your new non-lurker status.:giggle:
Thanks for your comments.:)
#17
Good to see both sides of the arguement, just goes to show that different sites work better for different people - there is no perfect site.
#18
Difference being somebody said on this thread if a transaction doesn't track quidco won't pay out, whereas rpoints do given the order information 100% of the time in my experience.

As for it takes longer to put in a HCP claim in that is true- about 30 seconds per transaction to complete. But the claim may not be against quidco it may be matching better cashbacks elsewhere in some cases.

Obviously it's each to their own but I was pointing out an alternative to quidco that I know I can rely on 100% tracking or no tracking.:)

Nope, they work just like rpoints. Go to http://www.quidco.com/new-enquiry and enter the order id and customer id the same way it's done on rpoints. It gets submitted, reviewed and sent to the merchant. Sometimes it is fast but usually takes a while.

Hi just925 and congratulations on your new non-lurker status.

thanks bazr :)
