we recently done our front garden out and put shingle down, bad mistake as the local cats use it as a litter tray :(
A neighbour then done his garden and he used slate to try and combat the problem but his is also used as a litter tray

So it seems they dont mind the size of the stones,my neighbour has tried everything from powders to sprays to a little gadget that emits a noise that cats can hear but its still ongoing, ive tried mothballs, orange peels, bleach and i still have a problem

Any tried and tested ideas welcome!

my mum had the same problem a few years ago and she put a clear plastic bottle with water in as it shines with the sun light and they dont like it, or a mirror ball as well. hope this helps.

We use chilli powder, buy it in very large pots at a local shop, very cheap. It works quite well.
Also there are spray product to keep them off. and the green geel Scoot ?
Old trick plastic or rubber snakes or old bike inner tubes. Cats dont like snakes:thumbsup::thumbsup::santa:

There is also a plant you can get they dont like CANNOT THINK AT MOMENT.

Cat nip ? not Cat mint they like that.

Lion Poo

Ive often seen that suggested.

3 things that puzzle.

Why would you prefer a lion crapping in your garden than a kitty?
How does Kitty know the smell of a lions poo to stay away?
Where is the nearest supplier of lions to assist?

PS.... get a riffle.
PPS pick up the poo and rub it in your neighbours face and tell him to stop his cat doing it.

Yeh, but have you seen the size of Python poo?
[helper]#35
Ive heard male urine keeps the cats out. Sooooo ladies get yer other halves to go out and mark out his territory! (pref after dark!)

We had the same problem last year, but no longer, this really works... :):)

Buy a small can of Jeys Fluid
Soak some used tea bags in a diluted solution of it
Where the cats like to go to the toilet, replace their **** with a teabag
After a shorl while they stop coming to your garden & find somewhere else... True

I've heard that planting lavender in your garden helps as cats don't like the smell. Perhaps you could plant some in decorative pots and position on the pebbles? Or get yourself a water pistol and keep watch for a few days they'd soon get the message to steer clear.
