Catalogue question?

I was just wondering why is it that Littlewoods, Additions and littlewoods direct are exactly the same, like grattans and freemans are the same? What is the point in this?
How many different catalogues are there? Are they all just one of the two, grattans or littlewoods?

Littlewoods had catalogues like LX direct Littlewoods Extra etc then it changed to Littlewoods direct, quite a while ago too they bought the catalogues like Additions,Great Universal/Essentials,Kays etc,all that stuff is the same in the catalogues but the prices vary slightly, some of them charge interest, some of them charge for delivery and some don't.They then got like a site called thats all their ex catalogue stuff but at discount, they even got an eBay shop.

I think Freemans,Grattan,Look Again and a new one called Oli now are all in together.

Then you got Empire Stores ( owned by Redcats ) they also got some French style catalogues called La Redoute and Vertbaudet ( that 1 is more for Mums2Be,Babies & Children )

Then you got some company who own Daxon,JD Williams I think, and they got some discount site too that appears to be stock from these catalogues.
