ccd vs cctv cameras?

been looking at a basic security camera to look out over my car on the drive. i keep seeing ccd cameras but dont know how they differ from cctv. can someone explain? are they better?

any advice appreciated

Closed Circuit Digital Photography (CCDP) is more suited for capturing and saving recorded photographs, whereas Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) is more suitable for live monitoring purposes.
