There were some hot delas last week on here for CD-WOW and I took advantage of some of them, but they have taken money from my account and have not even despatched the orders... Is this normal? Will I ever get them?

Probably not, CD-Wow, as you say, are not Wow at all. They entice you in with good offers, then half (or most of) the time do not deliver.

dont worry you will get the order i have used them a few times only 1 bad time and that was when they took my money but had no stock of dvd for bout 5 months but i finally got it in the end

You probably won't get them. If it relates to the clearly incorrectly priced Blurays that were on offer, you'll get an email saying that they can't get them from the suppliers and have had to cancel. I believe this is the usual level of service CD-WOW offer ...

OP: not a commot practice for a retailer to take your money before despatching the goods. They should be doing pre-auth on the amount, but not settle until it's despatched

They took my money and have today told me that they cannot get stock and will be giving me a refund, 7 blurays and they cant get any of them? Last time I EVER buy anything from them!

Sounds like CD-WOW to me! One of the many reasons I don't order from them anymore. The main reason being even if you do get what you ordered more often than not it's a gray-import and of lower quality than the official UK release.

mine got canceled as well from the nectar point sale, not happy as they say they haven't got any in stock although they do as i checked but they price has just gone up, so i emailed them asking how they dont have stock for me but they do for others, i doubt ill get a reply but worth a shot.

Severely ****** off with this. I also got my orders cancelled by them. Have emailed them regarding the lies they sent me about not being in stock or being able to get them. See what happens though, twice they have cancelled orders on me. Wont be going back

They cancelled mine, and a colleagues also. Even though they are still selling the same films!
What really hacks me off though is theyve had my cash for 7 days, thats how long it took them to realise they havent and can't get it. Must be a nice way to pay for the bubbly at the shareholders meeting so to speak, all that interest! I reported them to watchdog for the 7 day money business. Hopefully if enough others do they'll get a puplic slating on TV about there shocking practise.

That was the reply i got today to my email. Good for some who got this? or was it 1 copy of each available at this amazing price?

Unfortunately I agree this is scam, probably not for the interest but to make their business look like it's doing better with all that extra cash in the bank. I will not be using them again either.

Just out of interst - did they actually charge you, or was that sum 'only' reserved?

Hi,

I recently got burned also with the same ploy :x. This was my first experience with CDWOW and my last.

At least I did receive a refund.
