This game's great - I mean the standard of play is rubbish, but it's nice that there's a place for the likes of Dailly, Weir, Ferguson, Samaras, McCulloch and Miller to go when they can't quite manage professional football.

To me, they're all winners today and they all deserve a medal.
#13
Crap game as usual. All the OF games this season have been dire, this is no exception.

Definite penalty not given for the hoops, Loovens lucky to be on the pitch.

That'll be something to do with the fact teams in the SPL don't get £50m from Sky to buy decent players...

What's funny about that is that Mark Wilson doesn't look old enough to have a girlfriend never mind a wife.

There are some decent players there. Maybe they don't get the money from Sky, but Setanta must give them some change.

Maybe the Old Firm would be better in the English leagues. They could be earning the Sky money that Millwall and Leeds are earning.

The money from Setanta is peanuts by comparison, like you say, the lower leagues in England get more sponsorship in monetary terms.

I don't want my team playing in the EPL.

And Barcelona the following year, but then, it's clear this fella doesn't know much about football outside England.

Top of the league!!
Fingers crossed it stays that way ;)

It was a strange 2nd half, Celtic bossed the entire half and didn't really threaten the goal much at all. 7 wins in a row for Rangers, how they do it is a mystery, as they're not playing very good football at all - then again, neither are Celtic.

We can only hope for the Dons to do us a favour again and win all our remaining games, at least we still have a superior goal difference.

Be interesting how your mob will cope if you do win the league and try and defend it next season, when your club has to sell its best players to balance the books. What is it - £40m in the red?

If we dont win the league we're screwed money wise, BUT if we do then we'll be alright as we'll get money from the Champions League.

Hardly.

You won't get nearly enough to steady the ship financially - for one thing, CL qualification has to be earned this season as you don't get through to the group stages automatically. How you're going to do this with 5-6 of your best players being sold off in the summer is going to be very interesting. Another thing is that you only get the serious money from the CL if you clear the group stages.

Your club has been mismanaged in financial terms recently, ironically enough, it's the fault of the very man that allowed such elaborate spending in the early 90s.

I keep an eye on the Italian and Spanish leagues, but I think you're misunderstanding.

I really think the SFA makes a nice gesture by giving players like the ones I mentioned a chance to play football. They understand that taking part is the most important thing for these guys.

I just think good on them all.

Not really to be honest. I was hoping for a draw today - and I certainly think we at least deserved that given we bossed the game for the majority - in your own midden. Given the way both teams have been playing this season, today's result probably won't have too much of an impact in the title decision.

What I was saying, was that your team are really screwed financially, and winning the league this season, if you do, won't gloss over that fact. I foresee yet more protests in the car parks and demonstrations outside the BBC. It's the Rangers way.

BTW, if you do get into Europe this season, try and leave the away teams city in decent nick this time, cheers!

Not misunderstanding anything, you're trolling and doing a bad job of it considering you've completely ignored any of the salient points raised before.

We may not have the money and therefore be able to buy the calibre of players required to be considered as good as teams in the EPL (mind, there are a lot of bad teams in the EPL) - but when we compete against them, we do rather well under the circumstances. Just ask Man Utd, Liverpool etc.

Yeah only cos everything Celtic does gets swept under the carpet, even down to fiddling with little kiddies.

I so cannae be bothered arguing so I'll just go enjoy our win.

You can't argue because you're a typical Rangers fan. Bringing up child abuse in an attempt to score points is a disgrace, something your fellow fans know only too well about, given the sanctions put upon them by UEFA, the SFA and your own club.

You also can't argue because I doubt you have the mental fortitude to be able to compete.
