Hi,

I am going to Center Parcs soon for a mid week break. Can anyone recommend any activities that I could do? I have booked the three hour spa session at the Aqua Sana but so far that is it.

I have been to CP a few times but have never bothered to do any activities apart from the Spa Sessions (which don't really count as an activity!) I would like to do a few more things this time but there are so many different things to choose from, I don't know where to start!

Anyone got any suggestions?!

No, just me and my boyfriend!

I agree the Spa is brilliant but we do it every time we go (not that I am complaining!) so we want to do a few more things this time.

REALLY? Since when? I booked it on their new online activity booker and there was no other options bar the three hour sessions. You could book in blocks, for example, I am going 4pm - 7pm. How do you get five hours?!

I did get mine for £25 per person though as after 4pm they reduce it to £25 per person, before 4pm its £35 per person.

So you booked when you were already at CP? I have never heard of this!

The only sort of thing I can think of is this one;

http://www.aquasana.co.uk/spabreaks/twilight.jsp

That is a Spa Package that is offered to people just wanting to come in and use the Spa who aren't staying at CP. That is £35 but its still only a 3 hour session which has sessions available between 4pm and 9pm.

I agree a Spa session is the best activity/relaxation,although Archery a second fave followed by bowling if you can get a lane!

Elveden. I have been looking at the CP Activity booker but they dont mention it so maybe it is only something that if offered occasionally?

it was in the aqua sana booklet that came with our booking pack but we did go to whinfell. I didn't think the prices changes though

I got my booking pack through a few weeks ago so I will have a quick look through the Aqua Sana booklet and see if there is anything there.

EDIT - Ok, just looked in the booklet, there is mention of a moonlight spa from £25 per person any evening after 4pm but it doesnt say anything about being until 9pm. As far as I can see, it is just another option for the three hour session. As I am going at 4pm, techincally I am going to the Moonlight Spa but I wasn't offered any longer than three hours!

Maybe I will ask at the Aqua Sana desk when I am there and see what they can offer!

Thanks for your help anyway!

Ok - if you're going with over half you have to book the rasul mud therapy suite for two. I think it's about £70 and it's a private steam/jet shower room where you basically cover each other with mud and stuff and let the steam do it's job. Treatment lasts about 45 minutes.....!

Hi

try the high ropes - its great value all round it lasts 2 hrs and costs £21 and gives you loads to tell people when you get back.

If the weather is good the lake is lovely so hire a pedalo or a canoe, but carry some spare clothes as you do get wet.

the pool at night is the best value its free and after tea all the kids go back to the villas so is emptyish.....

Not sure what elveden offers in comparision with the other parks, as we have only been to sherwood and whinfell.

Dad always books the moonlight spa on the first night, and he books from 6pm till 9pm, but the ticket always says 4pm till 9pm. Only costs £25.

I have done abseiling and that was great, also good photo opportunity (or video camera as we did).

Carriage rides are good

Dad has done the fencing and really enjoyed that, something a little bit different.

We have just done painting pottery in whinfell, and really enjoyed it. Plus we have something to remember the holiday by.

Not sure which of these are available in elveden. Hope you enjoy your holiday

IRB76 - What is the mud therapy like? That sounds like something we would enjoy!

Kelly-o-fanatic - Elveden pretty much offers exactly the same as all other parks. I wanted to do the carriage ride but there are only two times (both on a Thursday I believe) that they do this and according to the online activity booker, there is only one space left for each carriage ride - so it would only abe able to book for one person which isn't any use!
