Changing a paypal claim

After a paypal claim was started the seller of something I bought eventually sent the item,but its nowhere near as described.

Anyone now the procedure for this as I cant change or start an existing claim for item not received to item not as described?

If you have closed the claim then you cannot do anything about it I'm afraid.

Contact paypal directly by email or phone and explain them the situation.I am sure they always listen to buyers....

If you've already opened and closed a dispute, that's the end of the it. You can't start another.

Legally you have all the rights to make a claim, regardless of what PayPal claim, try the softly, soflty approach to begin with, if no joy, online civil action is pretty quick these days, costs about a tenner.

the claim for item not received is still open,but the proof of posting shows it has been delivered....but what has been delivered it not as described

proof of posting shows it has been posted, not delivered. If it wasnt sent recorded then the seller will not be able to prove it arrived so paypal will rule in your favour.

email the seller and say you want a refund and return it or partial refund and keep it.

sorry my fault for not being clear,it was sent special eventually,have emailed seller,but got usual load of abuse etc,he also stated that he can prove its been delivered and he knows that they will rule in his favour and there is nothing I can now do about it not being as described,have emailed paypal,but think I have been done on this occassion.
