My dad needs a new seat for his car (02 punto), I used a quote website and a place nearby has a matching seat except it's in blue, and my seat's grey. Does anyone know how easy it'd be to replace the seat cover and would it look rubbish? The guy said it'd be easy to replace but when it might be easy for him, it might not be so easy for us to do. Had a look online but can't really find a tutorial.

My old Sporting hadblue seats and they were a different shape to other models so the one you found may be a different shape to yours.

I would have thought it would be relatively easy to find a Punto that is breaking for spares, why dont you try ebay for a start :)

They'd look rubbish if you recovered them IMO.

As above find a breaker.

I used a website that searches breakers for the parts. I got a quote from a local breaker for £20 collected, but it's blue. I also got two quotes of seats in the seats in our punto, but they're about £60 delivered, so I just wondered if we could save £40 as the guy said the covers are easy to change.

There is NO CHANCE that you will be able to get the seat recovered to match the other seats, especially that cheap.

Just keep searching, I am surprised that you haven't found one yet.

What I mean is, buy the blue seat, take the blue covers off, take the grey covers off the seat that's currently in our car and them put them on to the new seat, if that makes sense :p I think the pattern on my seat isn't that common so that's why it's quite hard to find, the blue is a lot more common.

Oh I get you, I don't know where could do that for you but I doubt it would come out perfect and I expect it would be expensive.

I am sure you will find one in the end, good luck searching :-D

Thanks, I saw one in a carpark the other week, unfortunately it was in a car, I don't think they'd want to do a swap. ;-)
