Changing energy provider - How often ???

I was just wondering how often everybody else changes their provider for electricity and gas if at all.

I recently changed to Scottish power because of how good their Quidco cashback was and they were the cheapest in my area.

With the prices being so close between a few of the companies is it worth switching and earning a little extra through quidco?? If it is how long is it reasonable to wait before changing again??

Any thoughts or experience on this would be great.

email this morning from saying time to switch is NOW : :?
can you just continually change energy provider, every month for instance? ill be moving back to uni in September and if i could keep switching and get quidco every time it would be a massive bonus
I doubt it, you'll probably be in some sort of 12 month contract
I know when I took mine out with Scottish Power about 4 months ago it did say that there was no tie in period.

guerilla - thats what I was thinking, perhaps not that regularly but if there is no tie in why not. I suppose it may be difficult going back to someone you had already had cashback from.
Its worth it until you come unstuck and the energy companies screw something up during the changeover. Then its just a minefield of hassle. I check every six months and wouldnt bother doing it more than yearly.

Mind you I havent actually switched for 3 years as Atlantic are consistently the best by a small margin whereas the others go from being great to bottom of the pile (BG, Npower etc),
