changing orange sim card?

Does it cost anything to change an orange sim card? My hubby has had the same sim card for over 10 years, and obviously as its so old he can't recieve picture messages or anything with it. I know you can get new sim cards for nothing but he wants to keep the same phone number. He doesn't want to switch networks either.
Also..(sorry!) is there any cost to change from o2 to orange, transferring my phone number as I think I may switch back.
Thanks for any advice!

Hey, just ring orange and ask them to activate the new sim card against his exsisting account, should be done no problems, explain he had same 1 for10 years and its not working proprly

as 4 changin from O2 to orange, no charge to swap over, obvioulsy just get an orange sim card and your PAC code from O2, only takes a few days to swap networks :)

Once you have got your PAC code from O2 - give it to Orange & make sure you ask for your £10- FREE credit for bringing your own number over

Is this for PAYG or contract?

How do you get it?

I am going to be swopping mum from O2 to Orange in the next few weeks (she is getting a new phone with orange sim for her birthday!)

For the Orange Sim Card (Your husband)

There are a couple of options to get a new sim card and keep your number.

1, You can call Orange and tell them you need a new sim and they will send you one for Free with your number
2, If its Pay as You go you can buy a new sim from any shop, call Orange and give them the sim card number and tell them you want to keep your existing Orange number
3, You can pop into an Orange shop and they will do it for you as well as probably trying to sell you a new phone :)
