hi

anyone know how to get the ball rolling on trying to recover my money back from littlewoods for goods not recieved?? and if it can be recovered?

i paid by debit card .. i have a appointment tomorrow with my bank to see what they can do to help.

this company is a absolute disgrace

has anyone followed this process to try and recover a payment for goods not recieved???

That's funny you should mention this, I just received an offer from my Credit Card Company of £56 to cover the repairs on my Lawnmower.
Long story but it was imported by another Company from the US, I bought it from them and it should have had 12 months warranty, it broke down and the Company I bought it from had gone into liquidation because the MD had accidentally shot himself. I held the Credit Card Company liable for the repair because I had paid for it on my card, over £250.
Anyway,
Was it a Visa Debit card? If so, from what I've read you have as much protection with this as you do with a Visa Credit Card.
To be honest, I would FIRST contact Trading Standards so you have the right info, they confirmed what I needed to do.

Also ring up your card provider if the visit is no good and ask for the disputes department. They will send you a form to sign, etc. Do this within 90 days of the transaction date though!

Not my topic, so sorry to hijack, but I have a Visa Debit card with Abbey - does that mean that I have the same amount of protection and ability to do a chargeback for goods not received etc. as people who have actual credit cards?

I'm not 100% sure on this, but yes, I believe you are.
Trading Standards will be able to clear this up.
