Im with Lloyds, and when I withdrew money in the US, I never got charged. Just gives you dollars acc to the exchange rate.

Should be on their site

I have a Nationwide Current Account and Credit Card

good rates and 0%/£0 charges when using it abroad, NO OTHER Bank matches that, all the others charge.

Debit Account is only for emergencies so any amount can be put in from family, I use the NW Credit Card when abroad.

Not 100% sure about the US, but barclays have charged me in Crete, Cyprus and Ireland so I don't see why they wouldn't charge you.

i just found out they will charge me 2.5% visa processing fee and an extra 2% if I take out cash. poo. I think I should change banks soon.

Every bank is the same mate, they all have fees for using your card abroad.

Try to find a bank of America as with Barclays its a little cheaper.

Fair enough, might well depend on how long you've been banking with them though.
