Charity to remove sofas

I am moving out of my property next month and as a result want rid of my old sofas (they aren't anything decent or worth giving away) and understand there was a charity that came andpicked them up for you if you made a small donation.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Where are you?

Why not freecylce? That's what I did when we moved.

I must admit I gained a lot of pleasure from seeing it go to a young couple struggling to get on.

if they arent worth giving away why would a charity want them, take them to the tip

We just got rid of our 2 on freecycle. They were both collected within 24 hrs of being posted.

Search yell for furniture - secondhand. Theres two charities near me that recycle old sofas etc.

charity will want them to have fire proof certification etc, if they don't they cannot be resold. best to check first and then try.
hope this helps

Freecycle.org.uk

there are also companies in the free papers that will take anything, maybe worth checking out

I got messed around by one such charity, and if they haven't got the fire retardant labels on, they won't take them. Go with the freecycle option.
