I was looking on teletext holidays and there are some really really cheap all inclusive holidays.

Has anyone been on a cheap one that they can recommend?

they're not going to be as cheap as the price advertised on the teletext site. i was looking there before i booked my holiday and when you phone up they start adding on charges here there and everywhere. they usually add extra for transfers and baggage, inflight meals etc it soon adds up!

i'd expect to add an extra £50 quid or so per person on top of the advertised price if i were you. in the end i booked my holiday with thomsons because at least with the big tour operators they price the state is what you're going to pay

Thing is, it doesnt matter what hotel i look at, from the £115 for a week to the £500 a week everywhere seems to get bad reviews.

who's getting bad reviews? the hotels on teletext or the big tour operators?
have a look on tripadvisor.co.uk it's a great site and has reviews of hotels and has forums for various destinations etc

I tend to think that deals off the Travelzoo.com newsletter seem to be pretty reasonable. Sign up to that.

i had no problem when i looked at teletext holidays (i am on about the website not the one on tv)
The prices quoted were the prices i paid.

Why is it all so confusing!! One deal on travelzoo looked good, some reviews of the hotel said its amazing, other say its shocking.

depends on the class of person that wrote the reviews i guess

Are you not concerned that this travel chaos may not be sorted by then?
