Dury's Inn is next door. Travelodge (2 on the Quayside) are not that far away & there's also a Premier Travel Inn on the Quayside.

Royal Station & Thistle County are also closeby but will cost more.

I can help you out, as I'm great at finding hotels. :)

What's your budget and preferences? :)

I still haven't had a response but I found this for you as the cheapest I could find with a quick search.....I wish the hotel prices in London were this cheap though lol.

It's close to the beach...so you can go for a romantic walk with errrrm..... :giggle: and apparantly it's about 10 miles away from the city centre (I dunno where exactly the postcode you suggested is.

Here's a view of the location:

And here's some more info and pics of the hotel

It's £35 for the night including an english breakfast at the 3 star hotel and use the 10% voucher and 10% quidco to make it just over £28.

I hope that helps. :)

The postcode you gave is for the centre for life just along from central station.

If you type that into the maps section on google (hit satellite) then type 'hotels' you will get all the nearby ones marked out.

If it's Newcastle itself you are visiting then i'd keep as close to grainger st or grey st as you can around where you see the marker for monument metro as all the shopping branches out from there and the pubs and clubs are a little further down towards the river.

Sorry - it is a work outing so I'm not playing with my own dosh but they wouldn't have liked a £90+ bill!!

http://www.choicehotelsuk.co.uk/hotels/hotel?hotel=GB077&promo=gglocal £75

http://www.royalstationhotel.com/ £70

I live right near Newcastle so can't really vouch for any of the hotels as I've never had a reason to stay in any of them, this is all based on me clicking about on google's maps section. :)

If the Postcode you listed is the one where your work will be then the royalstation (hotel right near the 'Central Station' train station) would be the shortest distance as NE1 4EP comes up as the 'Centre for Life' and is a minute up the road from there.

Top of the West Road is Asia central and that place is very close to where that Chinese couple were murdered. Great if that's what you're looking for.

Anyway, stick to places on my first post and you can't go wrong. Jury's Inn is at the post code you give.
