Cheap Wooden Laminated flooring... Anyone any idea about the prices....

I am planning to move into a rented acommodation next week which is fully carpeted but because my wife is into a bit of dancing and stuff she prefers wooden flooring in the lounge.
I have checked the lounge size to be approx 4m x 4m ... Since its the rented place i do not want to spend much .. Any idea anyone on here of the approx prices i must expect should i decide to get the flooring done ... approx labour costs + approx parts costs...

Basically i cant ask the landlord to provide as he has already given me quite a few things i asked for....

Any help would be appreciated...

u best using yellow pages, we charge £14.95 sq mt to fit laminate, £130 min charge, or have a go ur self with the cheaper laminate, beading is £4.99 a stick (2.4m sticks) and ulay is £1.48 to £5.49 sq mt

hey if i served u for laminate floor and u was nice, i would get u a cash fit,, lol
but anyway 4m x 4m
cheapest laminate = 16 sq mt divide by 2.66, so 7 packs x 10.61 = £74.27
cheapest ulay £1.48 x 16 = 23.68
gotta consider if its concrete or wooden floor, maybe need damp proof membrane, (£0.90 sq mt)
fitting 16 x £14.95 = £239.20
beading = 16 divide by 2.4 = 7 sticks x 4.99 = £34.93
then any doorbars?
otherwise cheapest option is: £372.08

Say i took the cheapest around £5 sq mt and got it done for the 4m x 4m ... so you reckon i shall expect atleast a bill of £250... would you agree...? Any other costs to be taken into consideration?
#15
Is there any other cheaper alternative ... like buying some cheap dance floor ......

i think i will have to do it if the costs are that high .... especially because its a rented place .... not that the landlord is going to pay me when i leave....
