  otherwise both phones practically the same

  darklight is right that they're both 1GHz phones.

  Neither are 1GHz.
  
  The OP's best bet would be to try and find a HTC Desire. That was one of the first Android phones to sport a 1GHz CPU.

  Yes, you're right. I didn't realise these phones were different to the Sony Ericcsson Xperia X10 Mini.

  What's wrong with the Defy? Sure it's 800mhz out of the box but it performs better than a lot of 1Ghz phones.
  
  Also just root with z4root and install Setvsel and you can overclock and undervolt. You should be able to run at 1.2GHZ quite comfortably with no effect on battery life due to UV.

  I am selling my only used once acer stream with a 2gb mini sd, and is has a 1ghz snapdragon.
