Most observed it but, as per usual, everyone focuses on the minority who didn't. Is it too much to ask for people not to make a big deal out of it?

You Liverpool fans are always whinging about something. Sure, it may be disrespectful. You had your fixture swapped did you not? if people wish not to hold a minutes silence so be it. Get on with it.

Regardless of what Liverpool fans are like I still think the families of the people that died still deserve to be shown some respect today.

People died through no fault of their own, is it too much to ask for a minutes silence in memory of those who died and the families (and children they left behind).

Guaranteed the shoe would be on the other foot if it was one of your family/friends was involved.

96 died and thousands was left with a massive void in their life.

    Grow up.

Yes it was a tragedy,Yes people lost family/friends. You think i do not realise that? For the record, i would have shown my respect had been at the ground not sure why you think i wouldn't have really. Just making assumptions i guess..

But to make a thread and moan because a few out of however many thousand didn't hold the minutes silence, come on, really? You weren't honestly expecting the whole stadium to hold the minute?

was partly for the lad who died in the serie b game yesterday aswell...

was more than a few, could be heard clearly on tv and the commentator mentioned it straight after

Was this the first minute's silence for the disaster then?

The bad blood is down to Liverpool's refusal to play today and help us with our game on Tuesday. It doesn't excuse it but that's the reason for it.

Firstly, the FA chooses the day and the location of the game, not Liverpool.
&it should be up to the club and the families to decide how they mark the Hillsborough anniversary.
In any case, a minutes silence is not the place to protest..... &thankfully, most of the Chelsea supports understood this!
Finally, the minutes silence was not just for Hillsborough.... it was also for 'Piermario Morosini' who died in a football match yesterday.
I hope 'Piermario Morosini's' family and friends don't hear about the breaking of the minute’s silence!
Shame on these football fans! (I’m not going to say Chelsea fans, as it's not fear to the majority I think!)

p.s, I'm an Manchester United fan, before any idiots accusse me of being biast

They could've played today or yesterday but Dalglish said there was no chance of them even entertaining it because they had to commemorate Hillsborough.

The FA had NO choice because Liverpool made it clear they wouldn't even entertain the proposition despite it being the decent thing to do.

    Sorry, my mistake.

Interestingly El Clasico was scheduled for the Sunday before the second leg, but has been moved to the Saturday.

It was the Chelsea fans chanting 'murderers' during the minutes silence. When the silence ended the spurs end roundly booed the Chelsea end and started chanting something like 'scum' or 'shame' while pointing at the Chelsea end from what I could make out.

this doing the rounds on twitter ^^
    beso
treat the scousers like scum yesterday
we travelled down together bought tickets together but unable to drink and mix together outside the ground - and its the beloved cockneys who mess it up

maybe we should play the final in old trafford make the cockneys travel up and drink miles away from the ground and then make them queue like animals for there train and charge an extra 25% just for a laugh cos thats what happened yesterday

im fuming over the "murderers" chant then didnt see it i heard it on radio and it was clear and loud and it wasnt a lone drunken voice
