Google & maps will...

1 minute later and the top of the google results is your answer.. -- Google is your friend

Chester Station is the main railway station in Chester. It is located on City Road 10 minutes walk into the city. Europcar and Avis Car Hire is less than one minutes walk away if you turn right as you come out of the station and head from Brook Street.

4 mins and 59 seconds or 5 mins, depending on how quick you walk. Use the Subways on the way, in case you're a bit peckish.

Theres also a bus you can get on outside the station thats takes you straight into town and back. Its just as easy to walk though.

It's a nice walk up into town - slightly uphill for part - allow 10 mins if you stroll slowly like we do lol - and then under the subway and you're right at the top end of the town - just keep walking and you'll go straight up town - if you head up to the Cathedral (go under the clock on the bridge and turn next right ) there's more shops up near the town hall. Plenty of nice (and the odd quirky 1 lol) pubs for lunch - and do go down to the river if you have time - it's lovely down there on a nice day :-). The park is 2 minutes from town and there's some roman ruins near the park just before you go down to the river ! Have a nice day :-) !!

PS. When are you going ? I'm on my way there now for a few days :-) !!

If you sign up to their emails you can also print off a voucher for an extra 10% off. You take the voucher to customer services and they will give you a 10% off card to use in most of the stores but only valid on that day.

Yep, its open nearly every day of the year! It will be busy over the weekend though. Next to Cheshire Oaks is the Colliseum which has more shops, eating, cinema and bowling. :)

The nearest train station to cheshire oaks is in Ellesmere Port town centre which isn't very close to Cheshire Oaks. You may be able to get a bus from Ellesmere Port station but i'm not sure, never taken the train there as its only 10 mins away in the car from me!

probably best to head for chester, and try and get a bus to chesire oaks, thankfully daughter doesnt flap like i do, so we should be ok, you should have seen the state of me when we once had to fly into gatwick, i would still have been going round in circles now had she not been with me, i have no sense of direction what so ever:oops:

lol, my sense of direction is good but my sense of time is awful!
You may struggle to do both places in one day unless you're planning an early start and a late finish! Can take a good few hours or more to do Chester and then the bus to Cheshire Oaks will be approx 20-30 mins and then Cheshire Oaks can be another few hours on top!!! Its actually my idea of a day from hell tbh!!! lol. I do hate shopping though. :)

I'm sure your daughter will love the shops etc, I almost moved there when my daughter was about 13, and she was a pure Londoner through and through and when I took her she loved it and was quite upset I never went through with the move.

hey snow, long time no see, hope you and the family are well, and yes i am sure she will love it, but will my credit card - lol
