im thinking of getting one of the digital thermometers like they use in hospital, i have a small one at the moment that goes into the ear and my daughter hates it, she wont even let me put it under her armpit, she was running a slight temp last night but couldnt keep it in long enough to get a reading, i noticed while my son was in hospital and they took his temp all they did was put the thermometer in his ear for a second and it was done. ive seen one on amazon and you have to buy the new tips for it aswel, can anyone recommend a good one.

the best is a braun thermoscan ( prob the one you saw on amazon ) , they do need the tips which is unfortunate, but they are accurate, I use one for my 2 babies ( 4 mths and 14 mths ) and they tolerate it well, have used one for years ( am an rgn ) for work.

Can't you just use a forehead thermometer?
