Childrens sand pit wanted.

I am after a sand pit for my 2 (soon to be 3) children to play in. I have one already but the lid lets in water. It has to have a lid that keeps out the rain and be a decent size. I don't mind paying a little more if needs be as I expect it to be played with for a few years yet. I like the wooden ones but don't think they will keep the water out like a plastic one.
Any one got any recommendations please??

Buy a tarpaulin from a home store cheaper and easier surely. I know it will make your garden look unsightly but no point wasting your money on another sand pit.

these are good value & very strong plus room for 3 little ones, we have this |& it hangs on the wall when not filled so it stores out the way in winter

To be honest we only bought a cheap one with the intention of replacing it. This has a tarpulin type cover but when we get lots of rain it just caves in. I'm quite happy buying a new one for DD birthday but a good idea.

Excellent idea
To give you a better idea of the size heres a vid of my dogs using it last summer (the lid is identical in shape & size it fits ontop to be used as a cover - ideal for water or sand)

Thanks, I enjoyed watching the dogs but I don't think it will be big enough for 3, it it smaller than the one I have already and when I've had that type before I've found that the lid comes off quite easily.

Anyone else???
