One of these won't reach that mileage! Poorly made, cheap materials and rust.

They are cheap.... for a good reason.

speaking from experience? there seems to be alot of people on various other forums who have had them for years without much trouble.

What's your budget? Scooters look like **** and are a complete joke, when I see someone I just think to myself '****'.
Anyways I know a few people with Honda YBR125's

I don't like bikes but they are pretty nice, cost about £2100 new with road tax and insurance for 6 months, or my other friend paid £1700 for one with 700 miles on the clock. I've been on the back and it was ok, apart from the no helmet and been in a car park, but yeah I'd look at a 125 bike tbh.

Dont you mean yamaha ybr125??????

No! Definately not the 125, it's such a tiny bike, you look like a monkey at a circus on a novelty bike, my friend had one and he's average height and it looked rediculous.

Dcx you don't know much about bikes so not a good idea to advise people wrongly.
The CBF 125 is a great starter bike.

+2 but 50cc mopeds/scooters are (IMO) really dangerous under powered. A 125cc would be better. Even new many of the cheap chinese scooters are very iffy. I seriously wouldn't touch a 5 year old one as parts are likely to be impossible to find.
