Normally anytime after my birthday is fine - but I still have a week to go!!! Was soooooo shocked!

It does spoil it.

I like to go Xmas shopping with my partner in December and its the same joke every yr,whenever we go into a Dept store and they have the Xmas decoration displays out,its always a game each yr for whoever grabs a really glittery bauble and rubs it across the others face.

What happens though if the person that you bought for gets that present earlier on in the year, or you bought them a themed present on something they like and they dont like it anymore?!

Dont buy themed presents, and the gifts we get are usually quite expensive and not something that somebody else would get them. Never had the problem of someone already getting them it, and if we did then we would swop the present for someone elses (we have a couple of boys around the same age and couple of girls around the same age)
#15
Ah right. I still prefer to do mine later on, get the atmosphere then
#16
Ya, but this way we spend the same amount but people get better presents (we dont just buy the same gift and save ourselves money like some people do, just give really good gifts for a lot less money!)

Im quite lucky - I only have to purchase gifts for the following:

OH
His Bro, his fiance.
Matts Niece - but shes not even 2 yets so thats easy.
My best mate.

No family my side to buy for - normally get this done 1st/2nd week in December.

I'll try and get a replacement before your birthday. Might not be up to standard.

Yep, it's ridiculous - this year I saw 2008 Calendars in a branch of Borders - in early July.
