Christmas presents for kids...

As its so difficult to know what to get kids for xmas now, due to them having most things.... I think it would be a good idea to let people know what you have got your kids.....It might give other people ideas of what to get there kid....

It would be a good idea to say how old the child is who you bought the present for as well...

It would certainly help us, ours are aged 10 and 4...

my 8 year old is getting an electric scooter, ipod and a new lcd for her room and a bluray player

my 8 month old is getting a cosy coupe car, rocking reindeer and loads of little toys cos she is too young to understand yet....

I really hope this doesnt go the same way as most of these kids and xmas threads..with people judging others for how little or how much they have got their kids...... but I agree....difficult to get them stuff when they have everything already :p

To be fair JB if that's what an 8 yo is getting in 1 christmas it's no wonder you are struggling for stuff to buy them.

Ive just bought my 5 year old grand daughter that kitchen set from the entertainer, £30 instead of £60, it came today and looks great, my daughter said she didnt expect it to be that good, even comes with a kettle and toaster, well worth £30. My new grand son will just be getting clothes and a few softies from me. My own kids are between 14 and 27 but they still expect a little something. My youngest is 14 and wants Halo mega blocks, but im not sure if he'll actually like it, anyone else got any of the Halo mega blocks? He also wants Little Big Planet 2 but thats not out till next year, and the new DS 3D, it doesnt get any cheaper as they get older.

Christmas morning has gone from undoing all those stupid wires they tie the toys to the cardboard box with to finding batteries, charging stuff up and reading manuals to find out how to switch stuff on and find the settings.

I always said I would never spoil my kids but with so many toys on offers its difficult to stop!!!

My 3 year old son is getting DS with Diego and Dora games, JCB vehicles, Fireman Sam stuff, jigsaws, books etc etc.

Baby is getting baby toys, nothing major.

I think its good to get things they are in to, do you kids have favourite programmes or are they into any sports?
My mum and dad always used to get us a board game/activity game and we loved playing that over Christmas, sort of tradition.
Awwwww I love Christmas, ho ho ho :)

My four year old has been asking for two years for a telescope, so that's done, not a toy one though, a proper one. No idea what to get the two and three quarter year old, he's not into anything and has expressed no desire. Maybe a little bike, but eh's not great on the scooter so might still be a bit beyond him. The one and a half year old will get a whole heap of random junk. The one thing they are all getting, and the four year old spotted when ASDA delivered is some of the tiny cans of pop in their stocking. He's really excited about that, he knows it's coming, but can't find them anywhere in the kitchen (where the pop should be) so keeps telling people he's getting some tins of pop from Santa!!! Crikey, to be four again.

Its great isn't it, seeing their little faces.
I love it when they open all those expensive pressies, ignore them and start making dens out of the empty cardboard boxes :D

I don't think I can tell the difference. Well, maybe if they were playing simultaneously on adjacent sets, but I can't say my viewing is affected by one or other.

That she'll get exactly what she asks for however naughtyor nice she's been. What they mean is 'she's too young to make a list yet'.

X)these threads are great......what people should put is my child is getting an orange in a stocking.... and a lesson on how harsh the world is....

:D Indeed, or I spoil my kid rotten and give them everything they want so no wonder they grow up as selfish selfcentered adults ;D
#37
I used to get school shirts and skirt for Christmas, so I like to make sure my kids get proper treats, even if it is cans of pop and matey bubble bath instead of smartprice!
