Saw the Social Network on Monday (in a cinema with only 3 other people!) and was a lot better than i expected. Well worth a watch!

Still keep meaning to see Back to the future but think it's stopped showing around here.

I'm so jealous. I think the last time we went to the cinema was our first date. Anyone want to babysit three adorable fat little children?

The other guys is quality

(The Other Guys) was illustrating a scam or fraudulent investment. It's called the Ponzi Scheme. It's named after Charles Ponzi who used the technique in the 1920's in America and then immigrated to Italy. However, he did not invent the scheme (it's been around for a very long time).

The common saying 'Robbing Peter to pay Paul' sums up the scheme nicely.

In essence this is what happens;

1. An investor is told of this amazing opportunity (it really could be anything to attract them to hand over their money.
2. The money is taken from them and is not invested and is instead pocketed.
3. Other investors are also tempted into the deal and they hand over their money.
4. The original investor is paid using money from the other investors.
5. The other investors are paid from new investors; and so the cycle continues.

It is a really simple idea and there have been many large frauds caused because of it.

I too would generally prefer a nice meal out (where you can chat) to the cinema (where only teenagers chat), but I saw The Hole in 3D 8) on Wednesday (thanks to an Orange code kindly given to me by natversion1 of this forum) and it was 'fun scary' :| rather than 'horror scary' oO if you know what I mean...

But I just realised that you said you're scared of ANYTHING ! :D
